Skins & Hides
RTV always believe in adding value to all its products and the same applies to our hides. In the past up to 2005 we used to sell our raw hides - called green hides - to the big hide traders. Since the middle of 2006 we decided to start contract tanning in order to add value to our hides which made up +/- 50% of a beefs fifth quarter.
Our constant training and supervision have allowed us to market between 70 - 85% of our skins as automotive skins which is top quality in the market. The rest of our skins are marketed for furniture land textile industries.
