RTV Abattoir is registered with the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Environment as a
high throughput Abattoir.
- We are registered to slaughter 140 Beef and 250 Pork units
- The slaughtering is done with 48 people
- There is 3 inspectors ensuring that safe meat is provided to our customers
- The meat is graded in accordance with the legislation
- The cleaning team responsible for continuous cleaning, consists of 6 people
- RTV is audited quarterly by the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Environment
- The last Hygiene assessments score was 85.7%
- The grading of meat is monitored by SAMIC on a monthly basis
- RTV has a Hygiene management system in place which ensures safe and good quality meat
and meat products to our customers.
